Carol has been providing legal, operational, and management counsel to clients in the health care industry since 1985. Her clients range from individual providers, to physician practices of all sizes, to large physician organizations. Carol's expertise centers on advising clients on practice formation, sales, acquisitions, and dissolutions; developing by-laws, shareholder, and operating agreements, compensation arrangements, and service agreements; reviewing managed care contracts; advising on fraud and abuse, HIPAA and other healthcare regulatory compliance; and negotiating recruitment and other agreements with hospitals. Carol is a co-author of a chapter on Physicians for the Massachusetts Health and Hospital Law Manual published by Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education, and she is a frequent speaker on medical practice issues. Carol's clients appreciate her personable and pragmatic approach to their challenges.
Prior to Archstone Law Group, Carol practiced at Eve Horwitz & Associates, P.C. and Westcott and Phillips, P.C., one of the first specialized health law firms in the area. Carol has a B.A. in Business Administration from Boston College and graduated from Suffolk University Law School. When time permits, Carol very much enjoys antiquing.
