Higher Education, Cultural, Scientific and Educational Organizations

We are legal advisors to colleges and universities, as well as other educational, cultural, and scientific organizations, on intellectual property issues related to teaching, scholarship, course materials, educational technology, and trademark protection.

The creation, distribution, and protection of intellectual property is central to the mission of higher education.  We work closely with in-house counsel and other college and university officials in New England and beyond, from liberal arts colleges to large research universities, on a wide range of copyright, branding, licensing, and Internet issues.  We also represent college and university faculty members in publishing matters, including textbook authors in many disciplines.  We are active members of the National Association of College and University Attorneys (NACUA).
